Mike & Jessica : 1st Anniversary Shoot in Charles Town, West Virginia

Just about this time last year Mike and Jessica were hanging out at the Rosemont Manor preparing for their wedding rehearsal. They invited me out to photograph the rehearsal, the dinner, and the evening activities which centered around jam sessions, cigars, and margaritas made by Jessica’s father.

The following day, I showed up bright and early to begin photographing their wedding day. The day was warm, bright, and sunny.

Fast forward one year.

Mike and Jessica wanted to have their one year anniversary photographed. The initial plans included camping out but the weather was not looking conducive to a night in a tent. Plans were changed; from opposite directions we converged on the Charles Town race track. This is the first time for all of us at horse racing…is there a Dummies Guide to Horse Betting anywhere?

Jessica won on the first race! And then the second race! And then they both won at the third race.

Alas, by the fourth running the luck was running thin. So we packed up into our cars with their wonderful air conditioning systems and headed to the Hillbrook Inn for more photography.

Sharp-eyed viewers will notice that Jessica decided to wear the same dress that she wore to their rehearsal dinner one year ago.
